Lawrence T. Bertschy

Lawrence T. Bertschy, 44, Union Township, a Talon, Inc., employee and farmer, died at City Hospital Sunday December 29, 1957, after an illness of eight months.

He was born at Wheeling, WV, October 10, 1913, a son of Carl P. and Louise Werling Bertschy.  In 1937, he married the former Goldie Brobeck Steinberg, who survives.

He was a member of Curry Heights United Presbyterian Church and was an elder and trustee at the church.  He also was superintendent of the church's Church School.

In addition to his widow, survivors include four children, John, Bonnie, Carol and Sally at home; three step-children, Mrs. Harry Rung of Geneva, Mrs. Ray Almgren of Berwyn, IL and Harry Steinberg of New Castle; his father, Carl of Wheeling; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Templeton of Wheeling, and Mrs. Doretta Brock of Elyria, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at the Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
