LeAnna E. Haemer, 93, of Meadville and resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community died there Friday, October 6, 2017. She was born in Reynoldsville February 27, 1924 a daughter of Lee E. Hoffman and Elizabeth Smith Hoffman Raybuck. She married Charles Ned Davenport December 18, 1948 and he preceded her in death June 7, 1959. She subsequently married Henry Haemer November 22, 1975 and he preceded her in death August 23, 2003. She was a 1943 graduate of Meadville High School and the Michaels Beauty School here in Meadville. She retired from the Allegheny College housekeeping department in 1989 after 16 years of service and previously had owned and operated the Jenny Lee Beauty Shop for 4 years. She had attended Trinity Lutheran Church and was a former member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of several card clubs. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Tora Fox and her husband James of Meadville; three step-daughters, Sandra Fedorski and her husband Joe of Espyville, Cynthia Reeher and her husband Pete of Jamestown, PA and Anita Shafer and her husband Philip of Meadville; a step-son, Richard Haemer and his wife Linda of Cambridge Springs; twelve grandchildren, Elliot Fox and his wife Leigh, Leslie Fox Hargenrater and her husband Mike, Derek Haemer and his wife Jill, Darrell Haemer and his wife Devon, Catherine Currcio and her husband Anthony, Brian Snyder and his wife Wendy Phelps, Terry Ann Litwin and her husband Walter, Joanie Stoer and her husband Conan, Samuel Pastella, Gregory Norrix, Paul Norrix and his wife Janeese and April Denmen; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Philip Ned Davenport; a granddaughter, Tanum Norrix and three sisters, Genevieve Leguard, Marian McClain and Isabelle Potter. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Richard Haemer, step-son, officiating. Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff and Wesbury and Southern Care Hospice for the wonderful loving care given to LeAnna.
