Lee Cooper

October 10, 1889 — December 8, 1966

Lee Cooper, 77, of Guys Mills died Thursday evening, December 8, 1966, at City Hospital.  He had been in failing health for the past three years.

He was born at Guys Mills October 10, 1889, a son of Edward M. and Mary Hotchkiss Cooper.  He and the former Joie Smith were married May 5, 1910.

Mr. Cooper was a retired farmer.  For 20 years he had been president of Union Cemetery Assn. and for more than 20 years sexton of the cemetery.

He was a member of the United Church of Guys Mills.

He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Archie (Dorothy) Sliter of Guys Mills; a grandson, Gary L. Sliter of Conneaut Lake; and one great-granddaughter.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
