Lee M. Oblom, 75, of Golfview Manor, Meadville, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home.
She was born in Cross Creek (Washington Co.), PA November 10, 1930 a daughter of Wilson Randall and Mildred Pearl Findling McCarty. She married Neil R. Oblom April 2, 1955 and he preceded her in death December 23, 1993.
She worked as a secretary for various companies over the years including General Electric, WICU-TV and Tilo, Inc. all of Erie and Hold-E-Zee Corp. (A Division of Channellock, Inc.) of Rochester, NY.
She was a graduate of Hickory High School, Hickory, PA and Penn Commercial College of Washington, PA. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary. She was also an avid golfer, a member of the National Hole-In-One Association and a former member of the Meadville Country Club.
Survivors, include twin daughters, Leslie Wolff and her husband Denis of Meadville and Lauren Oblom and her husband Shawn Witt of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Dean McCarty of Cross Creek; one grandson, Ben Lee Wolff and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Clay McCarty and Alvin Dale McCarty and an infant sister.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
The memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Brian K. Jensen, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Private family burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Erie.
