Mrs. Lena B. Andrews, 68, of Chestnut Street, Meadville, died Monday, evening, May 19, 1969, at Spencer Hospital following an illness of less than a year.
She was born May 16, 1901, in Pleasantville, a daughter of Charles H. and Anice M. Ross Brown. She was married October 11, 1922, to Dickson Andrews, former city solicitor for 29 years, who died in July 1953.
Mrs. Andrews was a well-known piano and organ teacher. She was a member of Stone Methodist Church for over 50 years. Mrs. Andrews attended Allegheny College, was a member of Meadville Fine Arts Assn., and the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Philip G. (Carol) Richmond of West Lafayette, IN; a brother, Mark C. Brown of Southhampton; two granddaughters, Amy Dickson and Meg Whittier Richmond; and several cousins including Hugh J. Mosbacher of Meadville and Judge Leo McKay of Sharon.
Services were held at Stone Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Arthur M. Crawford and Rev. Dr. Albert Marriott.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
