Leola D. Moorehouse

Leola D. Morehouse, 84, of Montclair, CA, formerly of Meadville, died Sunday January 15, 1995, at Community Convalescent Home of Montclair.

She was born at North East, PA, August 12, 1910, a daughter of the late Emmett and June Kline Pifer.  She married Archie Morehouse June 30, 1033, he preceded her in death October 10, 1988.

She had been a business woman and a homemaker.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Meadville and its MCR Class.  She was a graduate of Edinboro State Teachers College, and was a member of the Dobler Hose Co. and the Rebekah Lodge, both of Girard.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. David (Nancy Jeanne) Stutzman of Little Cooley and Mrs. John (Linda) Penter of Alta Loma, CA; a sister, Wilma Grate of Tallahassee, FL and a brother, David Pifer of Okeechobee, FL; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Pifer.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, Belle Valley, Erie County, PA.
