Leonard K. Fye

Leonard (Lenny) K. Fye, 77, of Meadville, died Tuesday, November 15, 1994, at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Oil City, November 22, 1916, a son of W. Bruce and Freeda Kistler Fye.  He married Lucille Breonel, April 20, 1947.  She preceded him in death August 5, 1993.

He graduated from Oil City High School and attended Allegheny College.

He served in the US Amry in Africa and in Europe during World War II.

He retired in 1979 as co-manager of the Meadville State Liquor Store after 24 years of service.  He previously was employed at CC Devore Lumber Co. in Meadville for 10 years.

He was a life member in the Meadville Elks Lodge 219, life member of the Meadville Club, and a member of the Musician's Union since the 1930s, having played in various local bands.

Survivors include a nephew, Bruce Fye of Marshfield, WI and two great-nieces.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Fye.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Grove Hill Cemetery, Oil City.
