Leroy B. (Steve) Conrad, 78, of Meadville, died Friday, December 25, 1987, at North Park Manor. Mr. Conrad was born in Troutville, January 23, 1909, a son of Henry Frederick and Mabel Rosa Rainforth Conrad. He married Lorna Dunlap February 20, 1930. She survives. He was part owner and operator of the former Meadville City Lines Bus Co. He previously had worked several years at the former American Viscose Co. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the US Army in the Pacific. He was a member and senior vice commander for 10 years of American Legion Post 111, Meadville; a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, Meadville; a member and former vice commander of Disable American Veterans Chapter 79, Meadville; a member of Petrolia Mason Lodge 363, Oil City; a member of Oil City Lodge of Perfection; a member of New Castle Consistory; a member of Acacia Grotto, Oil City; and a founding member of the former Meadville Thunderbirds Drum and Bugle Corps. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Darla) Robison of Linesville and Mrs. Paul (Jean) Peterson of Cochranton; one sister, Mrs. Eva Wayland of Sykesville; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Salem Cemetery. Services Past Services
