Leroy E. Miller

August 31, 1908 — June 30, 1974

LeRoy E. Miller, 65, of Meadville, was dead on arrival at Spencer Hospital Sunday, June 30, 1974, after a sudden illness at his home.  He had been in ill health for 18 months.

Born in Butler, August 31, 1908, he was a son of Harry and Iva Pierce Miller.  He married Florence Wallis.  He retired in 1973 from Meadville Malleable Iron Division of Dayton Iron Co. where he had been employed as a group leader in the anneling department.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his widow; four daughters, Mrs. George (Delores) Turcotte of North Adams, MA, Mrs. Shirley Abel of Denver, CO, Mrs. Robert (Janice) Grant of Meadville and Mrs. Thomas (Bonnie) McHale of Meadville; a son, Ronald Miller of Meadville; three sisters, Mrs. George (Ethel) Kenning of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Louis (Mildred) Badami of Pittsburgh and Mrs. William (Ruth) Gehenio of Creigton; a brother, Paul Miller of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A brother, Clarence, preceded him in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
