Leslie Jude Ervin

Leslie H. Ervin, 85, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Tuesday, February 26, 1963, following a brief illness.

He was born at Arbovale, WV, a son of Newton and Pheobe Bright Ervin, June 3, 1877.  He married Minnie Sheets November 6, 1901.

He was a member of Lyona Community Church.  He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Ervin is survived by his widow, five daughters, Mrs. Henry (Valera) Tharett of Shaker Heights, OH, Mrs. Myrtle R. Grady of El Cerrito, CA, Mrs. Clyde (Madeline) Patty of Castro Valley, CA, Mrs. Charles (Doris) Myers of San Jose, CA, and Mrs. Harold A. (Daisy) Shartle of Meadville; one son, Fred R. of Guys Mills; four sisters, Mrs. Effie Wilfong and Mrs. Maggie Taylor, both of Bartow, WV, Mrs. Mattie Arbogast of Huntington, WV, and Mrs. Laura Gillispie of Green Bank, WV; two brothers, Sam of Forest, VA and Don of Green Bank, WV; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lyona Cemetery.
