Leslie R. Smith

Leslie R. Smith, 81, of Meadville, died at Smith Institute, Saegertown, Wednesday, March 31, 1965, after a long illness.

Mr. Smith was born in East Mead Township, August 19, 1883, a son of John and Luncinda Henry Smith.  He married the former Emma Jane Hamilton.

A retired farmer, Mr. Smith was a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church and Kiser Hill-Mead Grange.

Surviving, besides his widow, are four daughters, Mrs. Vance (Lena) Mattocks of Meadville, Mrs. Jess (Viola) Maines of Meadville, Mrs. Paul (Virginia) Goodman of Meadville and Mrs. Milton Van Slyke of Downey, CA; three sons, Arnold of Meadville, Stanley of Canton, OH and Wilfred of Meadville; twenty-nine grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
