Lester Dee Ellis, 70, of Meadville, a retired Talon, Inc., employee, died at Flickinger Convalescent Home Saturday, December 28, 1957.
He was born at Mill Village, Erie County, December 20, 1887, a son of Rowland F. and Ella May Schlosser Ellis. He married Harriett Mae Ferrier, who survives.
Ellis, who was graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1912 with a degree in mechanical engineering, was a tool and die maker for Talon for 27 years. Before that he worked for Champion-DeArment Tool Co. for five years.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the International Assn. of Machinists and Detroit Lodge 2, F & AM.
In addition to his widow, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ella Hildebran, at home and Mrs. Paul Stevenson of Meadville; an uncle, Robert Schlosser of Jamestown, NY and three grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Brookhouser Cemetery.
