Lester G. Lewis, 75, of Meadville, an Asplundah Tree Expert Co. employee, died Wednesday, October 18, 1991, at Meadville Care Center following an extended illness.
He was born in Butler County, September 25, 1916, a son of Ross and Nora Robb Lewis. He married Dorothy Boyle August 16, 1941. She preceded him in death March 7, 1987.
He worked as a foreman for Asplundah Tree Expert Co. and was formerly employed as a night watchman at Channellock for many years.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Jack (Janice) Jacklett of Guys Mills, Mrs. Roger (Nancy) Shaw of Cooperstown, Mrs. David (Sara) Rollick of St. Marys, Nora Lewis of Titusville, Mrs. Robert (Bonita) Pollard of Virginia Beach, VA, Mrs. Rob (Bethany) Thompson of Pittsburgh; two sons, David R. Lewis of Norcross, GA and Robert I. Lewis of Mercer; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Pauline) Cornelius of Slippery Rock; a brother, Alfred Lewis of Prospect; fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sons, James L., Gordon and Richard Lewis.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
