Lewis Dewayne Shreve

July 22, 1941 — January 1, 1753

Lewis D. Shreve, 28,  of Meadville, died after an accident involving a forklift when a sidewalk collapsed.

He was born in Meadville July 22, 1941, a son of Lewis and Martha Irene Huff Shreve.  He married the former Judith Trainer April 24, 1965.

Mr. Shreve had been employed as a driver for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. for three months.  He formerly was employed for three years as a driver for Kebert Construction Co.

He attended Meadville schools and served in the US Army for five years, four of them in Germany.  He reached the rank of specialist fifth class.

Mr. Shreve was a member of Vernon VFD.  He was active in scouting work with Cub Scout Pack 223, sponsored by Kerrtown and Fredericksburg PTA.

He was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, are three children, Jeffrey Paul, Kimberly Ann and Tracie Diane, all at home; his mother of Meadville; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Laura Huff of Meadville; and two brothers, Dale of Cochranton and Edward of Meadville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Bethel Cemetery, Venango County.
