Lewis M. Smock, 51, of Meadville, died at home, Monday, June 24, 1996, after a sudden illness.
He was born in Meadville, August 18, 1944, a son of the late Paul W. and Sarah McKelvey Smock, Sr.
He worked for 11 years for the Erie-Lackwanna Railroad in Meadville and then in remodeling in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
He was a 1963 graduate of Meadville High School and was a member of the Meadville Sertoma Club, and had done volunteer work at Meadville Medical Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Denise) Pifer of Lake Worth, FL and a son, Craig D. Smock of Palermo, NJ; one granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Barbara) McCoy of Meadville; three brothers, Donald R. Smock of Walhalla, SC, Richard K. Smock of Cochranton and Ronald J. Smock of Conneaut Lake and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Monaco and a brother, Paul W. Smock, Jr.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
