Lida Morrison

Mrs. Lida Morrison, 93, of Meadville, the oldest member of Park Congregational Church, died Tuesday, February 29, 1972, at Mead Nursing Home where she had been a patient since September.

She was born at Edinboro August 22, 1878, and was the last of six daughters of Philip and Louisa Walker Vandervort.  She married Alfred W. Morrison in 1897.  He died in 1939.

Mrs. Morrison was a 50-year member of Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, an early member of the Senior Citizens Assn., and a former member of Meadville Woman's Club and the Ladies Advisory Committee of City Hospital.

She is survived by three daughters, Miss Marian Morrison and Mrs. Ralph (Josephine) Soden, both of Meadville and Mrs. Charles J. (Maud) Wood of Winnetka, IL; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ota Morrison of Meadville, widow of Paul who died in 1966; two granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
