Linda G. Gonzalez, 59, of Saegertown, died unexpectedly Monday, November 7, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Meadville July 11, 1952, a daughter of the late Hal and Bernetta May Prozan McQuiston. She married Mark A. Gonzalez July 1, 1989 and he survives.
Linda was a 1971 graduate of Meadville High School. A devoted homemaker, she and her husband built their house. She enjoyed antiques and art, formerly enjoyed gardening, fishing, and boating, loved animals and caring for strays, and loved the Christmas season. Linda was a very positive person who never knew a stranger. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
She was of the Protestant faith and has gone home to be with her mother in Heaven.
Survivors, in addition to her husband Mark of 22 years, include three children, Matt Gonzalez and his wife Rebecca of Meadville, Amanda Gonzalez of Pittsburgh, and Amy Gonzalez Bryant of Thailand; a granddaughter, Ella; three sisters, Sharon Moosmann and her husband Robert of Meadville, Bonnie Miller and her husband Howard of Cochranton, and Debby Satterlee of Pensacola, FL; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Douglas A. Messerall, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.
