Linda (Ditch) Harris

Linda Ditch Harris joined her dearly missed son, Jayson and loving parents, Herbert and Edna Ditch October 22nd, 2017.

Linda was born November 20, 1952 in Meadville.  She received her education in Crawford and Delaware County schools.

She was employed at UCIP as a supervisor of the residential department until the facility closed.  She then was a home host provider for UCIP.  She also worked for Voices for Independence until she became disabled.

Linda was very devoted to Robert, her children and grandchildren.  She loved and enjoyed her dog King and cat Shadow. She enjoyed crocheting very intricate beautiful afghans, which she gave as gifts to family and friends.  She enjoyed playing bingo.  She was a member of the New Brotherhood Motorcycle Club.  Linda had the amazing ability to remember everybody’s birthdays and would call and wish them a happy birthday. Whenever somebody needed a phone number they would call Linda because she remembered the phone numbers of everybody.

She will be missed very much by husband, Robert, who always loved Turk, as he affectionately called her, nine children, Larethea Decloquement (husband Hervé), Tyson Ditch (girlfriend Amanda), Jamal Harris (fiancée Danielle), Martina Rhoades, (husband Paul), Bobby Harris, Trent Harris, Brian Harris, Nina Hopkins (husband Dana) and Jennifer Harrison, 29 grandkids, nine great grandkids, two brothers, David (wife Kathie), Gary (wife Mary) and four sisters-in-laws, Ceola, Ardythe, Nancy and Diane, one brother-in-law, Victor, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Linda also opened and welcomed many children into her home over the years that also became part of her family.

Friends may call Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 12-1 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Marvin Burnett officiating.

Linda will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
