Linda S. Eidell

Linda S. Eidell, 69, of Meadville went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, September 19, 2020.

She was born September 18, 1951 in Meadville a daughter of David Smock, Jr. and Lorraine G. Wills Smock.  She first married Larry B. Walker and subsequently married Robert M. Eidell April 7, 1990 and he survives.

She was a 1969 graduate of Meadville High School and worked at the Meadville Public Library starting at the age of 15 and retired in 2015.  She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Cambridge Springs Garden Club.  She loved flowers and was a wonderful gardener.  She also loved traveling making many trips to New York, Delaware and South Carolina.  She was a voracious reader, seamstress and loved being a mom and grandma.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Robert of 30 years, include: three children, Kristy A. Vilkie (Joe) of Cochranton, Matthew R. Walker of Carlton and Carrie S. Knipe (Morgan) of Simpsonville, SC; her father, David Smock, Jr. of Meadville; a sister, Jill A. McGowan (Jim) of Meadville; a brother, David L. Smock (Kathy) of Hurlock, MD; four grandchildren, Logan D. Walker, Riley M. Knipe, Reagan G. Knipe and Caiden M. Knipe and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Smock.

Private family services will be held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with Rev. Mark Fischer, Pastor of Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church and Rev. Rebecca Patterson, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA 16335; Grace United Methodist Church, 828 N. Main Street, Meadville, PA 16335 or Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Avenue, Saegertown, PA 16433.
