Lloyd G. Spencer

Lloyd G. Spencer, 83, of Meadville, died at his home Thursday, July 20, 1978, after a one-year illness.

Born in Chapinville, May 24, 1895, he was a son of George W. and N. Jennie Porter Spencer.  He married Mazie Henderson April 25, 1916.  For 37 years, he was employed as manager of the former Quality Cash, Inc. store at North Street and East Alley.  A member of First Baptist Church, he was a former member of Grace Untied Methodist Church and served as that church's former Sunday school superintendent and treasurer.  He was a member of Cussewago Lodge IOOF since 1940.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a foster son, John L. Henderson of Canton, OH; a brother, William T. Spencer of Meadville; one niece and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
