Lloyd H. Sutton, 78, a resident of the David Mead Residence Inn, Meadville, died Wednesday, August 12, 1998 at his residence following a period of declining health.
He was born July 31, 1920 in Greenbank, WV, a son of the late Arthur B. and Rosa May Williams Sutton.
Mr. Sutton was a graduate of Jamestown High School. He was a US Army veteran having served in World War II. He was commando trained and also served as radar teacher in the 82nd Airborne Division. He worked for 41 years as an inspector at Talon, including part of which as chief inspector.
He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, Meadville.
Survivors include a companion, Thelma Williams of Conneaut Lake; two daughters, Sandra Lee Sutton of Waterford and Mary Linda Wills of Glendale, AZ; two sisters, Goldie Maw Tiger of Conneaut Lake and Rose Marie Young of Hermitage; one brother, Franklin O. Sutton of Gibsonia; twin grandsons, Shawn and Sheldon Wills and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Burton C., Ernest L., William K., Ward J., and Myron E. Sutton and two sisters, Elizabeth Smith Greenfield and Daisy Artman.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in South Shenango Cemetery.
