Lloyd J. Steere

February 28, 1899 — January 1, 1753

Lloyd J. Steere, 58, of Meadville and Ft. Myers, FL, died Saturday, at Spencer Hospital following several years of poor health.

He was founder of Steere's Dairy in South Meadville and was owner of the firm for 33 years until he was forced to retire because of failing health.

Mr. and Mrs. Steere had arrived in Meadville from Florida the day before his death.

Born at Humboldt, Iowa, a son of James and Nina Willey Steere, he came to Meadville when he was 15.  He was a member of Lodge 408, F & AM; Erie Valley Scottish Rite Bodies, Zem Zem Temple of the Shrine and Meadville Lodge 219, Benevolent, Protective Order of Elks.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Florence Maxwell Steere; a daughter, Mrs. Clyde M. Miller of Meadville; three grandsons; his father, James Steere; a sister, Mrs. Frank Loda and two brothers, Lawrence and George Steere, all of San Gabriel, CA.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
