Lois J. Sterling, 48, of Meadville, died Thursday, November 27, 1997 at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness at home.
She was born February 27, 1949 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte Baney Burns. She married Richard E. Sterling. He survives.
Mrs. Sterling was a 1967 graduate of Townville High School. She worked for 16 years at Channellock as a pilers inspector. She previously worked as a waitress at the former Johnnies Drive-in on Washington St. She was a volunteer worker at Second District School and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one son, Richard C. Sterling at home; one sister, Mrs. Ernest (Patricia) Vincent of Cochranton; four brothers, Robert Burns of Texas, Kenneth Burns of Meadville, Ernest Burns of Terrell of Texas and Thomas Burns of Corry and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Millers Station Cemetery, Rockdale Township.
