Lois Loe Marr Mullen

November 10, 1910 — September 20, 1999

Lois Loe Marr Mullen, 88, of Meadville, and formerly of Andover, OH, died Monday, September 20, 1999 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Cleveland, OH, November 10, 1910 a daughter of Irs and Carrie Sayler Loe.  She married Thurman Marr, March 30, 1933 and he died in 1979.  She subsequently married Neil Mullen in April 1980.  She survives.

She lived much of her life in Andover as both a homemaker and a civic leader.  A strong advocate of education, she was a charter member of the Andover Public Library, serving on its board in the late 1930's, and she continuously promoted the library's development.  She served as a deaconess of the First Congregational Church and as town treasurer and she was Past Matron of the Easter Star.  She lived the balance of her life in Meadville where she was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Neil, include two sons, Charles David Marr (Jacquelyn Jean) of Fairfield Glade, TN and Douglas Marr (Patsy) of Goshen, CT; twin sisters, Lyla Reeves of Bradenton, FL and Lyda Sisson of Madison, OH; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, OH.
