Lois R. Miller, 88 of Sandy Lake, passed away on June 15, 2024 at the Caring Place in Franklin. Lois was born in Wilkinsburg on September 7, 1935 to the late Alfred and Alice (Strickler) Albert.
Lois was a longtime member of Sandy Lake Presbyterian Church. She and her husband served for 20+ years on the Mercer County Farm Bureau Farm Council. She also enjoyed canning the harvests from their family farm. Most of all she loved her family, especially getting to babysit her grandchildren.
Lois married her beloved husband, William B. Miller, on May 20, 1961, he preceded her in death on September 20, 2020.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Debbie Wygant and husband Phillip of Sandy Lake, grandchildren: Lynne Byrne and husband Charles, William Wygant and companion Jamie Wright, both of Sandy Lake, great-grandchildren: Brayden, Destiny, Dante, Jenny, and Samantha Byrne, William Wygant Jr, Gage Gilmore, Diamond Cattrucco, and Bella Wright.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose And Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc – SANDY LAKE, 3236 S. Main Street, where visitation will be from 11 am – 12 pm on Thursday, June 20. A funeral service will follow visitation at 12 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Beth Creekpaum, Officiating.
Interment will take place in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
