Lola Holland, 89, formerly of Hartz Ave., Meadville, and a current resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, died there, Sunday, June 29, 2003.
She was born November 7, 1913 in Cambridge Springs, a daughter of the late Leigh F. and Blanche Lord Wilcox. She married Wilton Holland and he preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School and worked at Talon as an inspector. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was of the Methodist faith. She was a wonderful and caring woman.
Survivors include a son, William Holland and his wife Evelyn of Brentwood, CA; a daughter, Patricia Blakeslee and her husband Richard of Tampa, FL; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Wilcox; a sister, Orma Bowes; and a grandson, Jeffrey Holland.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
A funeral service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
