Loretta M. Brenner, 68, of Conneaut Lake, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at UPMC Horizon, Greenville following complications from a respiratory illness.

She was born November 9, 1942 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of William J. and Loretta Noll Mitchell.  She married Robert K. Brenner in 1976 and he preceded her in death in 1983.

Loretta was a 1960 graduate of St. Paul's Cathedral High School, Pittsburgh and attended St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing.  She was involved in numerous business ventures throughout the years.

A member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church, Loretta was a former member of Conneaut Lake Borough Council, member of Conneaut Lake Area Business Assoc., Conneaut Lake Historical Society, Green Anchors Garden Club, Conneaut Lake, and PA Farmer's Assoc., and former member of the Meadville Business and Professional Women's Club and Conneaut Lake Aquatic Management Assoc.  She was a volunteer for many years with the American Red Cross Disaster Team and Crawford County Animal Rescue Team and was a sober member of Alcohol Anonymous since October 19, 1981.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela L. Mulligan of Meadville; two sons, Derek P. Mulligan and his wife Nikol of Grafton, MA and Bruce L. Mulligan and his wife Beth of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Gayle, Daisy, Madison, Camryn, and Derek Mulligan, II; a brother, William J. Mitchell, Jr. and his wife Mary of Bridgeville; and mother to numerous foster children.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael G. Mitchell.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake with a Scripture Prayer service at 3:45 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. Ninth St., Conneaut Lake with Fr. Steve Anderson as Celebrant.

Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PA SART (For Crawford County Animal Response Team), 2605 Interstate Dr., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
