Lorian Mae Theuret

Lorain Mae Theuret, 85, of 9340 Perry Hwy, Meadville, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Sharpsville May 5, 1924, a daughter of the late Earl L. and Nora M. Turner Gaines.  She married Arthur L. Theuret October 27, 1945.

Lorain was a homemaker, enjoyed making crafts and especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Arthur of 63 years, include 4 daughters, Ruth Hart and her husband Richard of Meadville, Linda Specker and her husband Robert of Stanley, NC, Cathy Morell and her husband David of Apopka, FL, and Judy Linder of Orlando, FL; a sister, Virginia Maggiore of Turtle Creek; a brother, Donald Gaines and his wife Marian of Cowansville; 2 sisters-in-law, Carol Gaines of Mercer and Irene Gaines of Saegertown; 7 grandchildren, Colleen Day and her husband Bryant, Michael Petrillo and his wife Kim, Alesa Petrillo, Shana Hilton and her husband the Rev. James, Maegan Linder, Chase Morell, and Scott Morell; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Raymond and Charles Gaines; a sister, Louise Shafer; and a brother-in-law, Matthew Maggiore.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Martin Hardy, Pastor of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 1070 Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335 or Active Aging, Inc., for the Alzheimer’s support group, 1034 Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335.  The family wishes to express appreciation to Asera Care Hospice for their loving and devoted care.
