Louis Mark Echnoz, 91, died at his home in Meadville on Monday.
He was born at Kane Stand on the Titusville Road, and was a farmer for many years. He moved to Meadville about 23 years ago, engaging in the carpentry trade until a few years ago. Mr. Echnoz was the last survivor of nine children.
Before moving to Meadville, Mr. Echnoz was active in the work of the parish of St. Hippolyte RC Church and donated the lumber when the church was built many years ago. In Meadville, he was affiliated with St. Brigid's RC Church.
He is survived by his widow, Rose Popney Echnoz and by these children, Mrs. U. G. Schaper, Mrs. Emerson Elmen and Joseph J. Echnoz, all of Meadville, Mrs. Walter DeMaison of Franklin and Albert L. Echnoz of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
