Louise Douglas, 93, of Cambridge Springs, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Marquette Hospice House, Meadville.
She was born in Richmond Twp., October 12, 1919 a daughter of Erl and Fern Lowing Ingraham. She married Lawrence Douglas, June 23, 1941 and he preceded her in death January 2, 1985.
She was a graduate of Townville High School and was a member of First Christian Church and its Ladies Friendship Class. More recently she had been attending New Richmond United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the former Acacia Chapter #30, Order of Easter Star in Titusville that is now merged with Golden Crown Chapter #44, Order of Easter Star. She enjoyed reading, knitting and hand crafts.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Nutter and her husband Jack of Meadville; two sons, Carl L. Douglas and his wife Joyce of Cambridge Springs and Ruric J. (Corky) Douglas and his wife Brenda of Meadville; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lela Slingluff.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at New Richmond United Methodist Church, 29776 State Hwy. 77, Cambridge Springs with Rev. Sarah Roncolato, Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
