Louise Margaret Greenwald

March 16, 1913 — January 1, 2006

Louise Margaret Greenwald, 92, of Conneaut Lake, died Sunday, January 1, 2006 at her residence.

She was born in Aurora, IL, March 16, 1913, a daughter of the late Edward and Rose Turque Dooley.  She married Benjamin Greenwald November 22, 1947 and he preceded her in deth May 27, 1987.

She worked for 15 years at the Chicago Tribune as an editor.  She also worked for Women's Wear Daily and Advertising Age and retired in 1947.

She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

She was an active volunteer at Meadville Medical Center and was a member of its Aux.  She was also a member of the YWCA and enjoyed music, playing bridge and reading.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Greenwald of Burlington, WI and Thomas Greenwald of Grant, MN; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Murphy of Conneaut Lake; four grandchildren, Mark Greg, Emily and Ben Greenwald; one great-grandson, Mark Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Kim Greenwald and twelve brothers and sisters.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago.
