Lucille D. Lucas, 92, of Sandy Lake, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Orchard Manor in Grove City.
She was born on September 18, 1930 in Sandy Lake to the parents of Lee A. Wareham and Phoebe C. (Armstrong) Wareham.
Lucille was a 1948 graduate of Sandy Lake High School and went on to complete beautician school.
On June 18, 1952 she married the love of her life, Robert W. Lucas.
She was employed at various jobs prior to her retirement. During her career she worked for Spang Power Electronics, Choice Products, and served as the Secretary and Tax Collector for Jackson Center Borough.
She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church in Jackson Center.
Lucille loved taking care of her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Bonita L. Dillen, Manheim, PA.; two sons, Robert W. Lucas Jr. and his wife Sue, Titusville, Pa.; and Gerald L. Lucas and his wife Nan, Sandy Lake; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her best friend and sister-in-law, Sara Wareham. She was the last of her generation.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert W. Lucas who passed away on December 27, 2006; and all of her siblings, Florence, Helen, Ralph, Floyd, Harold, and Merle.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 5-7PM and on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 10-11AM.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis E. McCartney officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Twp.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
