Lucille M. Martin

Lucille Poux Martin, 86, formerly of Dover Road, Conneaut Lake and a resident of Rolling Fields since 2011, passed away there, Thursday, May 16, 2013. She was born in Meadville April 22, 1927 a daughter of Adrian (Babe) Poux and Margaret McCracken Poux McCain. She married Bruce David Martin May 16, 1953 at Ford Memorial Chapel, Allegheny College and he preceded her in death January 18, 1995. She worked as a spectrograph operator for Abex Corp. and previously worked at American Viscose and Duerrs Flowers. She was a 1944 graduate of Meadville High School and a member of Harmonsburg United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women. She and her husband enjoyed 5th wheel camping and then in retirement spending winters in Juno Beach, FL. She was an avid bowler and loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Lucilles family would also like to thank everyone at Rolling Fields Fig Street for their loving and wonderful care. Survivors, include: three children, Lynda Worthington of Conneaut Lake, Jeff Martin and his wife Mary Joan (M.J.) of York, PA and Susan Douglass and her husband Perry of Meadville; four grandsons, Gary Worthington II, Eric Martin, Christopher Worthington and Nick Martin; two sisters-in-law, Harriett Whitley of Cheyenne, WY and Jean Martin of Meadville and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Poux; a sister, Rita Barber and her husband Bob and a brother-in-law, Donald Martin. Calling hours will be Monday from 6-9 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Harmonsburg United Methodist Church, 14182 First Street, Harmonsburg with Rev. Dennis E. Lawton, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Harmonsburg United Methodist Church, 14182 First Street, Harmonsburg, PA 16422 or the Conneaut Lake Area Ambulance Service, P.O.
