Lucy A. Miller

Lucy A. Miller, 74, of 28280 Plank Rd, Guys Mills, died Thursday, August 9, 2001 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born May 28, 1927 in Mineral Ridge, OH, a daughter of the late Burson D. and Tessie B. Fox Davies.  She married Paul R. Miller June 3, 1946.

She was a 1944 graduate of Randolph High School.  She was a homemaker and worked as a cook for 8 years at Randolph High School, retiring in 1982.  She was a member of Randolph Township Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary, American Legion Post #0111 Auxiliary, and the former Mead Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.  She loved reading and sewing.

She was a member of United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 55 years, include 2 sons, Joel Miller and his wife Sharon of Guys Mills and David Miller and his wife Michele of Shelby, Mont.; 2 daughters, Waunita Mason and her husband Tim of Conneautville and Laura Moore and her husband Richard of Conneautville; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Jane Hayden of Miami, FL.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Byham.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Kimball, Pastor of United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
