Mrs. Lulu Schuler, 91, of Meadville, died Friday, March 27, 1964, at Huntington, Long Island, NY, Hospital where she was admitted after suffering a stroke March 11, while spending the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Mabelle Mahdesian, Huntington Station, Long Island.
Mrs. Schuler was the widow of John Schuler, a long-time Meadville attorney who died in 1941. He was secretary of the Crawford County Bar Assn. for 20 years. They were married March 22, 1904.
Mrs. Schuler was born at Jamestown, July 3, 1872, a daughter of Orsamus and Mary McMillin Leffingwell. She taught in rural schools for two years and for ten years was a clerk in Meadville Post Office under Postmaster R. B. Brown. She resigned the position upon her marriage. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and its Priscilla Class and previously was a member of the old Central Presbyterian Church on Center Street many years ago.
Surviving, besides the daughter are three grandchildren, John Schuler of Hollywood, FL, and Janet and Raymond Mahdesian of Huntington Station and several nieces and nephews and cousins, including Mrs. Eva McMillin Thompson of Meadville.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
