Lydia D. Howard

March 18, 1848 — January 1, 1753

Following an illness of six months, Mrs. Lydia D. Howard, 86, passed away at midnight Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eber Powell, of Meadville.  Her husband, Warren S. Howard, preceded her in death 22 years ago.  She spent most of her life as a resident of Randolph Township, although she was born in Chautauqua County, NY, and spent recent years in Meadville.  She was a member of Grace Methodist Episcopal Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. David Clark of Cochranton, Mrs. Prudence Pratt of Erie and Mrs. Eber Powell of Meadville; two sons, Jay of Meadville and Hugh of New Richmond.  Another son, Elmer, died four years ago.  Other survivors include a sister, Miss Lucy Gage; a brother, Dwight Gage, both of Meadville; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Guys Mills Cemetery.
