Lynne M. Bly, 63, of Meadville, died at home Monday, July 20, 2015.
She was born in Kent, OH August 15, 1951 a daughter of George E. and Julia M. Rodd Bly, Jr. She was a 1969 graduate of St. Agatha High School and the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Over the years she worked as an operator for Bell Telephone of Pa., as a nurse’s aide at the former Mead Nursing Home, as an engineering technician for the South Carolina State Highway Department, and as a truck driver for various companies. She enjoyed crocheting and dearly loved her grandchildren.
She is survived her mother, Julia M. Bly; two daughters, Regina Johnson and her husband Gary of Meadville and Briana Flick of Meadville; two sons, Matt Smith of Saegertown and Adam Smith and his wife Abby of Brewster, OH; nine grandchildren, including Nicole Cubaro, Levi Flick and Collin Loucks; two brothers, George Bly III and his wife Kathy of Meadville and Mark Bly and his wife Krista of Erie and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Bly and four sisters, Kathleen Bly, Mary Keppel, Renee Bly and Julie Bly.
A private family memorial service will be held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with Jim Gibson, Senior Minister of First Christian Church, officiating.
Lynne’s family deeply appreciates all the love and care she received from the staff at Park Avenue Rehab, Mount Hope Home Care as well as Hospice of Crawford County.
