M. Jevohne (Smith) Nelles

M. Jevohne Nelles, 93, of Meadville and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died there, Saturday, March 21, 2020.

She was born in Brantford, Ontario May 12, 1926 a daughter of Walter Maxwell and Alta Florence (Pryne) Smith.  She married Harold Nelles July 30, 1949 and he preceded her in death April 7, 2003.

She worked in the administration of the Pioneer Central School District in New York and as a homemaker.  She was a member of the Golden Crown Chapter Order of Eastern Star.  She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed silver and turquois work.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Letourneau (Tim) of Niagara Falls, NY; a son, David Nelles of Winfield, WV; two grandchildren, Steffanie Scott and James Scott (Nicole) and two great grandsons, Jacob Scott and Matthew Scott.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Nelles; a son, Dale Nelles and a brother, Doug Smith.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
