Mrs. Mabel A. Hanna, 77, formerly of Jamestown and a resident of United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital since February 1974, wife of Hugh R. Hanna, also a resident of the home, died there Monday, January 30, 1984, after an illness of several months.
She was born December 8, 1906 at Chapmanville, a daughter of William and Catherine Sharp Armstrong. She married Hanna December 27, 1933.
A teacher for 29 years, Mrs. Hanna retired from the profession while employed by Jamestown United Methodist Church and attended the former Edinboro Normal School.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Wilson, Mrs. Wilda Proper and Mrs. Edith Hancox, all of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Chapmanville Cemetery.
