Mabel E. Waid

Mrs. Mabel E. Waid, 94, died at the Mead Nursing Home on Tuesday morning, September 26, 1972.  She had been in failing health.

She was born in Randolph Township, May 21, 1878, a daughter of James C. and Lucetta Frankenberger Virtue.  On June 19, 1900, she married Willard C. Waid who died in 1970.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, the Beacon of Light Class of the church and of Randolph Grange.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Eloise Waid of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Irwin (Jessie) Beiler of Meadville and Mrs. Merle (Alta) Rossell of Warren; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A son, Leland, died in 1966.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
