Mabel F. Cutshall, 86, of Meadville, a former teacher, died Thursday, January 24, 1991, at Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Franklin, September 17, 1904, a daughter of Ralph G. and Gertrude Stone Foster. She married C. Ellsworth Cutshall on November 9, 1929. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1987.
She first taught in Sandy Creek Township, Venango County, then taught for 28 years in the Meadville school system, from which she retired. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women, and the Crusaders Sunday school class. She was a graduate of the former Edinboro State Normal School. She was a member of the Golden Crown Chapter of Order of Eastern Star and a former member of the Meadville City Hospital, Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Zane (Shirley) Nossokoff of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Samuel (Sarah) Henry and Mrs. William (Marguerite) Adams, both of Greenville; a brother, Ralph D. Foster of Franklin; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Hoffman and Grace Weston; a brother, Raymond Foster; two infant brothers; and an infant son, Edward Cutshall.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
