Mabel I, Byham

Mabel I. Byham, 96, a resident of Springs Manor, Cambridge Springs, formerly of Guys Mills and Meadville, a homemaker, died Wednesday, May 20, 1992, at the manor.

She was born June 22, 1895, in Black Ash, a daughter of Frank and Orpha Thurston Byham.  She married Charles D. Byham August 14, 1912.  He died February 11, 1987.

She worked alongside her husband for 40 years on their farm in Guys Mills.  She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Berneice Lackey of Olean, NY and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Powell of Sarasota, FL; one son, Frank Byham of Meadville; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
