Mabel L. Lingo, 88, of Espyville, died Thursday, March 10, 1988, at Clepper's Convalescent Home, Sharon, following a six-month illness.
Mrs. Lingo was born in Wayne Township, December 15, 1899, a daughter of Thomas A. and Della Smith Wentworth. She married Chester B. Lingo June 4, 1920. He survives.
She was a graduate of the former Edinboro State Normal School. She had been employed as a teacher at schools in Crawford County and in Cleveland. She was a member of Westford United Methodist Church, Crawford County Retired Teachers' Assn., Conneautville Women's Club; American Assn. of Retired Persons, and was a member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 381, Conneautville.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Barbara L. Fry of Hermitage and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert W. Lingo.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Entombment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
