Mable J. Abbondanza

Mable F. Abbondanza, 92, a longtime resident of Leslie Road, and a resident of Cordia Commons for the past 2 years, died there Tuesday Aug. 20, 2002.

She was born in Hartstown, May 29, 1910, a daughter of William & Bessie McCalmont Lewis.  She was married to Marc C. Abbondanza, who preceded her in death June 28, 1968.

She was a homemaker for most of her life, and had been employed for a brief period at Talon and at the former Spencer Hospital.

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include 1 son, Pat Abbondanza and his wife Georgia of Meadville, 3 grandchildren, Gina M. Abbondanza, Marc J. Abbondanza and Michael A. Abbondanza, 4 great granddaughters, and 4 nieces.

She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Emma Palmer, Mary Clifford, Jessie Bradford, and Martha Montgomery, and 1 brother, Volney Lewis.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc. 581 Chestnut St.

The funeral & committal service will be Friday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Penney Fujii, Hospice Chaplain, officiating.

Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
