Madeline R. Norr

Madeline R. Norr, 87, of Meadville, died Sunday, November 7, 2010.

She was born July 3, 1923 in Meadville, a daughter of Francis Ridenauer and Agnes Garber Ridenauer Cunningham.  She married Glenn A. Norr June 30, 1945.

She was a graduate of St. Agatha High School and was employed in the admissions department at Meadville Medical Center.  She previously worked at the American Viscose, Talon, and GTI.

A member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Madeline was also a member of the Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary and Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Department.  She enjoyed bowling, reading and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Glenn of 65 years, include a son, Gary Norr and his wife Sharon of Meadville; two grandchildren, Kevin Norr of Nottingham, NH and Laura McWright and her husband David of Saegertown; two great-grandchildren, Brennen and Elliot McWright; and a half-brother, Darwin Ridenauer and his wife Bev of Orlando, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Glenn E. Norr and a half-brother, Richard Ridenauer.

Calling hour will be Friday from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville with Fr. Raymond Gramata as Celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
