Mae H. Fry

January 20, 1869 — November 19, 1959

Mrs. Mae H. Fry, 90, of Meadville, died Thursday, November 19, 1959, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Marian) Custead of East Fallowfield Township, following a long illness.  She was the widow of Samuel F. Fry, whom she married November 30, 1893.

Born in Meadville, January 21, 1869, she was a daughter of Josiah and Mary Dickson Campfield Belknap.  She was a member of Stone Methodist Church and of its Beacon of Life Class and was a former member of the Martha Jane Woods Tent of the Daughters of Union Veterans.

Mrs. Fry's grandfather, David Campfield, was an early settler in Meadville.  His father, John, was a general in the Revolutionary War and served as an aide to Gen. Lafayette.

Besides Mrs. Custead, survivors are two sons, Kenneth B. of Sacramento, CA and Edward S. of Meadville; seven grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren and several cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
