Malcolm D. (Mac) Davis, 75, formerly of Meadville, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Rolling Fields.
He was born May 9, 1939 in Meadville, a son of Malcolm D. and Harriet Mae Braymer Davis, Sr.
Malcolm was a 1957 graduate of Meadville High School where he played football, basketball and ran track. He attended Edinboro University and graduated from Erie Commercial College with a degree in accounting and from Erie Data Processing with a degree in computer operation.
Malcolm was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served from 1956 to 1959 and traveled the world working as an air traffic controller.
He began working as a paper boy at the age of 12 and then for the railroad, computer operation, machinist, and personnel management. The last 30 years of his work involved the inspection of all types of aircraft parts and the inspection of the nuclear power engines for submarines and aircraft carriers. Malcolm was happiest when he worked as a tool and gage setter as a member of the United Auto Workers skilled trades at TRW in Cleveland, OH. In semi-retirement, he enjoyed working for High Point Tool in Saegertown.
He was an avid college football fan and enjoyed going to Black Ash to shoot his pistols.
Survivors include a brother, Dennis Davis; a sister, Carolyn Urquhart; nieces, Julie and Jennifer; nephews, Denny, Chris, and Johnathan; and many cousins and friends.
There are no services.
