Margaret B. Hersh, 82, a homemaker who was active in community organizations.
She worked at Talon, Inc. for 10 years, leaving in 1938. She was a member of Order of Amaranth, a member of West Mead 1 VFD Aux., and a volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile.
She was of Methodist Faith.
Hersh, of Meadville, died unexpectedly Monday, May 30, 1994, at Meadville Medical Center.
She was born in Blooming Valley, July 20, 1911, a daughter of Granville P. and Bessie Douglas Briggs. She married L. A. Hersh, August 8, 1936. He preceded her in death June 25, 1978.
Survivors include three sisters, Mildred P. Ervin of Cochranton, Ruth B. Tinker of Meadville and Eloise V. Loftus of Erie; two brothers, Granville Briggs, Jr. of Saegertown and C. Richard Briggs of Polk; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Theodore Hersh; and two brother, Clarence C. Briggs and Rurick D. Briggs.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens,.
