Margaret C. Overman

Margaret C. Overman, 84, of Conneaut Lake, died at home, Tuesday, April 4, 2000 following an extended illness.

She was born March 11, 1916 in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Alice G. Donahue Conway.  She married Howard R. Overman, April 8, 1946 and he preceded her in death July 25, 1971.

She retired in 1975 from the Elderly Nutrition Program in Linesville.  She was instrumental in organizing the program in Linesville and was its first site supervisor.  She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the 55+ Club.  She was a former member of the Alter and Rosary Society at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville.  She was also a lifetime member of the Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall.  At one time, she was active with the Leukemia League in Pittsburgh.  She was an avid reader and was very strong in her faith.

Survivors, include a daughter, Maggie Gee of Conneaut Lake; a granddaughter, Jodi Gee of Conneaut Lake; a loving friend and companion, Karen Phelps of Linesville and twenty-two nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph W. Conway, Thomas J. Conway and James E. Conway; a sister, Alice Conway Winkle and two daughters, Jody and Mary Alice Overman.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Philip Cemetery, Linesville.
