Margaret C. 'Peg' Webb

Margaret C. (Peg) Webb, 87, of 13188 Dunham Rd., Meadville, died Monday, January 14, 2002 at Meadville Medical Center following a period of declining health.

She was born January 20, 1914 in Baden, a daughter of the late Curtis F. and Catherine Park Mortimer.  She married Arthur G. Webb September 25, 1935 and he preceded her in death November 20, 1983.

She was a 1932 graduate of Rochester High School, Rochester, PA.  She was a homemaker, member of Stone United Methodist Church, its Marriott-Crawford Sunday School class, its United Methodist Women and was a former Sunday School teacher.  She enjoyed reading and participating in her card club in earlier years.

Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Snyder and Mary Jane Webb, both of Meadville; a granddaughter, Peggy Snyder; nieces and nephews; and her adoptive families.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Scobie, E. Jane McKee, Anna Glasser, and Hazel Hendrickson and one brother, Curtis F. Mortimer, Jr.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. William L. Brown, Visitation Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church and Rev. Douglas Messerall, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, co-officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
